Look, we all have those goals we want to achieve but keep putting off. Those things we think we should be doing, but think “oh I’ll do it tomorrow”. You all know those things. I know you do, because I also know them. I make a list every morning and then half the shit on there doesn’t get done. Then the next day I just carry that list over and watch it not get done again. It’s fine. I’m fine.
Anyway, I’m here to tell you that we don’t have to keep carrying over the list to the next day. Because we’re going to make a bigger list. A better list. The best list you have ever made. This list will be a list for your life. Now I’m starting to sound like he who must not be named and I have got to stop.
Today is March 1 AND it’s a Monday. It’s a perfect day to start on this list that will change your life. So take a minute, think about what your goals are for the next few months. Are there certain things you want to accomplish? Do you want to start a new project? Are you trying to get healthier? Is it time to improve your skin? Think of those things and then think of what you will need to do daily to achieve them. That’s going to be your list!
Then tape it somewhere you look at every single day. Maybe the bathroom mirror, or your computer, or a TV. Just somewhere you will for sure see. You can even put it multiple places to remind yourself throughout the day of the things you want to be doing to accomplish those goals. Seeing these things multiple times a day will help you remember what you envision for yourself and what you need to do to get there. I even put it in my notes on my phone so I can look at it whenever I want!
Okay, enough chatting. Here’s my list:
- Wake up before 8am
- Workout 5x/week
- Try to walk every day
- Make at least 1 healthy choice a day
- Journal every evening
- Drink a gallon of H2O
- Track all spending
- Stick to a budget
- 1 “spa” night a week
- Smile every day
I made this list about a week ago. Although, I haven’t stuck to everything (I’m human, okay?) but I am getting better at all of them. I want to be a healthier human all around. Not just physically, but mentally as well. I believe these daily goals will help me achieve that! These daily goals don’t have to be major. They should be things you know you can do every day. It also doesn’t have to be a long list. Just 2-3 things can even change your life. It takes 21 days to form a habit. If you can make a list and stick to it for even 21 days, I would say you’re doing hell of a lot better than people who didn’t make a list ;).
What is going to be on your list? Let me know in the comments below! And let me know if we should make a group on Facebook or something. A place where we can hold each other accountable. I’m always down for a fun Facebook group that’s full of people supporting each other!
