This past weekend I got to do all the fall things. My cousins and I took a trip to the pumpkin patch, I took Annie on a walk at SIUE, and I watched Hocus Pocus with my little cousins. Then Sunday my Mom and I made my desk decoration for work. It was a pretty solid weekend.
Saturday morning we went to Relleke Pumpkin Patch. It was the cutest little pumpkin patch. You buy tickets to go do all of the activities. We did the small corn maze, a wagon ride, the kids did the blow-up obstacle course, played in the corn, and we attempted to do the 30-second haunted house but only lasted about 10 seconds before they all wanted to turn around. I tried telling them it would be okay but I couldn’t be that big of a hypocrite because at their age I wouldn’t even go through the Walmart Garden Center haunted house. So then my Mom had the scary people chase me through Walmart instead. It’s probably where my love of all things scary came from so thanks, Mom.
After our trip to the pumpkin patch, I grabbed Annie and decided to go walk around the Gardens at SIUE. They had the cutest little set-up at the beginning so we stopped for pictures, obviously. She loves walking on the path there but what she REALLY loves is going into the woods and walking those trails. She got so pumped. It’s really awesome how much she loves taking random adventures as much as I do.
Saturday ended with a showing of Hocus Pocus to my little cousins for the first time. I hyped it up to be super scary for the 9yo who wouldn’t even go through the haunted house. He thought he could handle Friday the 13th, ha! He wasn’t that scared but did ask what a virgin is. Thanks, Hocus Pocus, for saying it a million times throughout the movie. I had no clue what to say so I just told him it was a word we call teenagers. But then told him it’s a mean word so not to go around calling people a virgin. I don’t know, I’m not a Mom.
Then on Sunday, my Mom and I created my decoration for the desk decorating contest at work. She grabbed multiple pictures from Pinterest and combined the ideas. I think it turned out pretty damn well if I do say so myself.
Now I’ll let ya look at the pics.
Have you done anything fall-ish, yet? Let me know in the comments!
