Okay, this isn’t the first time I’ve tried teeth whitening. But every time I try, it never works. And when it doesn’t work, I give up quickly. So I haven’t tried teeth whitening in a few years because of that. HOWEVER, when Smile Brilliant reached out to me about collaborating trying their teeth whitener, I was super down. How does Smile Brilliant work, you ask? That’s what I’m here to tell you!
You start with those blue trays and the base and catalyst. You put the base and catalyst together and then put that into the blue tray. Then you put that in your mouth. It’s kind of like when you went to the dentist as a kid and they put those trays in your mouth. Super uncomfortable as a kid. But we’re adults now. We can handle it. And yes, you might drool. I did. No shame.
Then you package those up and ship them back to Smile Brilliant. Once they get them, they’ll make your custom whitening trays with them. And those trays will fit exactly to your mouth. No silly white strips or just brush on paste. These babies go in your mouth and fit like a glove.
Once you get your trays, you’ll use the teeth whitening gel for 45 minutes – 3 hours. However long you want. After the whitening gel comes the desensitizing gel for 15-20 minutes. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Wow over an hour for teeth whitening? It’s okay though! Because that hour before you go to bed while you’re sitting on your couch watching Netflix or laying in bed watching TikToks? Yeah, that’s when you’re going to whitening those teeth. And you won’t even feel like you’re doing it. Sometimes I forget they’re on my teeth and leave the whitening gel on longer than I had planned. That’s fine. Just more whiteness for my teeth.
The best part? Most people only need 7-12 sessions (which you should be doing a session every night or every other night) to see results. It’s like freaking magic, I tell ya! Just check out my before and afters!
