Family Weekend Spent With The Robinsons!

This past weekend, my ENTIRE family on my Mom’s side came to town. When I say the entire family, I mean the entire family. All 80+ of us. It was an incredible, exhausting, fun family weekend. If you have a big family like I do, you know what I mean when I say fun but exhausting, lol!

The weekend started Thursday afternoon with a trip to the Arch with a couple guys who haven’t been. I work right next to it, and haven’t been there since I started almost 2 years ago. I actually don’t think I’ve been in almost 20 years so it was cool to go again and see all of the changes they have made to the new Gateway Arch National Park. Thursday was topped off with a fun dinner at Nancy’s Pizza where I found out I’m more like my 7 year-old cousin from Cali than I thought possible. I’m also not mad about it because she’s cooler than most people my age.

Friday we spent the afternoon making s’mores and hotdogs over a fire. We also had a big party with the entire family at my cousin’s house. It was a great way to kick off the weekend once everyone had gotten there!

Saturday morning started with The Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Belleville. It was a beautiful morning and great weather for the walk! It’s also nice to know that we are doing our little part to help fight this awful disease!

Saturday night was the Robinson Brother’s Homecoming II concert! It was a fundraiser for the hospital and I think it went so, so well! There were so many people there and EVERYONE had such a great time! Great job Uncle Robby and Uncle Rex!

Then on Sunday (I told you, long and exhausting but incredible weekend), we celebrated the woman who started it all. My Grandma Barb turned 90 on Sunday and she is the reason we are all here and able to celebrate together. She has 7 children (14 counting their spouses), 18 grandchildren (29 counting their spouses), and 29 great-grandchildren. And that’s not including the many cousins that also joined from other sides of the family. She’s an amazing woman with the kindest heart and I am so grateful that she is my Grandma.

I have the most incredible family. There are so many of us but we are all so close. Most people don’t understand it but I am so thankful for it.
